The University of Udine (UNIUD), founded in 1978 by a unique community initiative in Italy, has developed a prominent profile nationally and internationally with over 15,000 students and more than 600 faculty members. It focuses on education, research, community engagement, and internationalization across eight departments and 79 programs.

The Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of Udine (AILAB-Udine), established in 1984, is led by Professor Giuseppe Serra and pioneers in Deep Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and related fields, with a special emphasis on Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision. AILAB’s history of innovation and support to the local community aligns with UNIUD’s mission of knowledge exchange and societal contribution.

The University of Verona strives for excellence in teaching, research and innovation. It has 22,000 students and 1,500 staff including lecturers, researchers, technical and administrative personnel who work to continually improve and grow the university.

QUILAB is the quantum computing laboratory at the University of Verona, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of quantum computing from both theoretical and applicative perspectives. Its research focuses on several topics including quantum machine learning, quantum languages, and quantum software development.
